7 steps to dream job.

Envision your dream. Picture it! See yourself doing it. What is it like? Where is it? How do you feel about it? Feel your success in being in your dream job/career.

Prepare for the dream: Further define dream job. What are your interests and abilities? What will it be like? Working conditions. What makes this your dream job?

Self Assessment : Likes and dislikes; what have you done in past: likes and dislikes, hobbies? Why? Skills? Put this on paper.

Put on paper. Once define what you want, then put on paper as resume, cover letter, follow up letters, follow up phone calls.

Launch you campaign: Set a schedule for yourself of how much time you will spend in your campaign, how much time do you have? Look at your finances….Consult with others who will be affected by this change, get a buy in. Develop a networking list for contacts who can give references, and who will give you feedback.

Interview: Basic interview, hiring interview, Can do, will do, fit. Questions/answers.

Get job/Negotiate: You get job offer, how to negotiate. How to keep job once you get it.

Attitude

is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home.

The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude
